What is Tufdek?
Tufdek is a sheet applied vinyl floor system used to waterproof outdoor walking surfaces such as, decks, balconies, walkways, roof-decks, pool aprons and patios. top 
What are the Tufdek roll sizes?
Tufdek rolls sizes are 64" wide (5'4") by any custom length up to 360'. top
Who uses Tufdek?
Contractors, Architects, Envelope Consultants and Renovators who use Tufdek are looking for long lasting waterproof solutions. You may have used other products in the past with varied success but you are most likely looking for a more permanent waterproof solution to help solve your building envelope needs. top
Is Tufdek Tested?
When it comes to waterproof vinyl decking it's all about testing and standards, the only viable requirements for PVC waterproof products are the North American roofing standards. All Tufdek products are tested to meet the Canadian (CGSB 37.54-95) and US (ASTM D4434-06) standards for vinyl roof membranes. Tufdek also added a second level of quality control by enlisting the services of Intertek (Warnock / Hersey) as a third party to monitor, test and list Tufdek as continually meeting these rigid requirements. top
Is there a Warranty?
All Tufdek products are covered by a 10 year limited warranty. top
How is Tufdek installed?
Tufdek is always fully adhered to a smooth dry substrate using the recommended Tufdek adhesive. If more than one panel is used the separate panels are overlapped a minimum of 1" and welded to ensure a continuous waterproof surface. Tufdek is then properly detailed at the inside and outside edges of the substrate in accordance with the appropriate Tufdek installation detail. top
How long will Tufdek last?
The life expectancy of Tufdek is approximately 20 years depending on various items including but not limited to, care and maintenance, sun exposure and traffic volumes. Please read your Tufdek Limited Warranty and the Tufdek Care and Maintenance instructions for further information. top
Does Tufdek need re-coating or cleaning?
Tufdek is a factory finished product which requires no re-coating, just regular cleaning with soap and water will help maintain Tufdek. The product is virtually maintenance free. top
Will Tufdek withstand freezing temperatures?
Tested at temperatures of minus 40 Celsius / Fahrenheit, Tufdek will stand up to the harshest of cold environments. top
How does Tufdek withstand the heat?
Tufdek is tested at temperatures of 80 Celsius / 176 Fahrenheit for 60 days then run through a series of tests. Tufdek vinyl membranes will withstand temperatures of 345 degrees before breaking down. top
How do I remove snow and ice from my vinyl deck?
You can use a plastic shovel to remove snow or in extreme snow and ice areas you can use salt. Always ensure your shovel has no sharp edges before using it on your Tufdek vinyl.

What is the difference between Pro Series and Contractor Series products? Professional Series Tufdek is only available through specialized, trained and licensed Tufdek dealers who demonstrate a strong understanding of waterproofing and building envelope design. Contractor Series Tufdek is available through select building supply and flooring industry dealers as a do-it-yourself (DIY) product. top
